Arts Are Essential, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts providing arts in education programs and family concerts throughout the Northeast. We depend upon fee-for-service to support our administrative costs.

We also offer cultural–educational professional development exchanges to Senegal, West Africa for artists, educators, and students. While in Senegal, our participants work on service projects in their field of interest.

Your financial support will further all of our projects reaching, at-risk populations both in the US and in Senegal. Donations are used to support arts in education programming. Donations may also be used for Senegal America Project travel scholarships for students or adults with financial need, or for educational, medical or health initiative in Senegal.

We are making a difference in the lives of students here and in Senegal. We encourage you to make a difference, too!

Please support AAE, Inc., by making a tax-deductible donation.

We pledge to you that we will:

  • Use your gifts to maintain our excellent and affordable arts in education programming.
  • Use your gifts efficiently and wisely to benefit Senegalese students, parents, educators and artists to further education, health, awareness, and acceptance.
  • Conduct our finances to the highest standard of openness and accountability.
  • Report our successes, wish lists and needs, and the impact of your contributions.

— Jean Butler, President AAE, Inc.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., in his famous “I have a Dream” speech, referred to “the fierce urgency of now.” We only go this way once. It is our responsibility to see what is happening, assess the possible outcomes, and to make a commitment to act.

Together we can make a difference!
