Upcoming Trips

We have several types of trips that we organize. Except for the student trips, there may be a combination of objectives. We usually try to book the trips around school vacation weeks. It’s never too early to get your name on the list of travelers. Please and let us know which time of year or format you are interested in.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRIP

• This trip is primarily adults, artists, educators, parents and other interested travelers with specific academic, artistic or cultural objectives.

SPECIAL INTEREST HEALTH RELATED TRIP

• We have medical professionals who are interested in going on the trip and providing much needed medical assistance service projects during part of their time in Senegal.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES TRIP

• Students from one or more schools travel together to work on academic, cultural and service projects that their school sets up in advance.

BAABA MAAL’S RIVER FESTIVAL — JUST LISTED

• Baaba Maal organizes an annual festival in Northern Senegal that features many performances by African artists and Musicians as well as conferences and exhibitions that tackled some of the more important issues facing Africa and the world at large. The Blues Du Fleuve Festival 2007 took place in Matam, across the river from Mauritania. Check out Baaba’s website: www.baabamaal.tv.
